Flatfeet

About this condition

Many flat feet are flexible and painless. A flatfoot that hurts, keeps collapsing or has become stiff deserves assessment, because the tendon that supports the arch may be involved.

What you may notice

A foot with a low or absent arch that tires easily and may ache along the inner ankle.

How we help

Not every flatfoot needs treatment. We assess pain and function, advise on supports and exercises, and discuss reconstruction when it is indicated.

This page is general information. The right option depends on your examination and scans, so please book a consultation for advice on your own case.
