Morton’s Neuroma

About this condition

A Morton’s neuroma is a thickened nerve between the toes, most often the third and fourth. It causes burning pain or a feeling of a pebble under the ball of the foot, and wider shoes and padding are the usual first steps.

What you may notice

Burning pain or the feeling of walking on a pebble between the toes, often eased by taking shoes off.

How we help

Roomier footwear, padding and injections settle many cases. Surgery to release or remove the nerve is considered if symptoms persist.

This page is general information. The right option depends on your examination and scans, so please book a consultation for advice on your own case.
