Nerve Compression

About this condition

Nerves in the foot and ankle can be squeezed, for example at the tarsal tunnel, causing burning, tingling or shooting pain. Examination and sometimes nerve tests show where the nerve is being pinched.

What you may notice

Burning, shooting or tight sensations from a nerve pinched around the ankle or foot, such as in tarsal tunnel syndrome.

How we help

Clinical examination and nerve tests where needed, then treatment of the cause, with decompression surgery in selected cases.

This page is general information. The right option depends on your examination and scans, so please book a consultation for advice on your own case.
